Thoughts on the area and studio
What makes ART FACTORY Jonanjima so appealing is that it offers more than a studio in which to make work. It provides opportunities to connect with the people involved in the place and to create an open atelier together using its large exhibition spaces. I also really enjoyed taking breaks or eating lunch on the rooftop between sessions of making work, gazing at the sky, the sea and the planes.

Thoughts on the area and studio
I have been supported by ART FACTORY Jonanjima for many years, using its studios since it first opened and continuing to use its workshops, mainly the metalworking area, to this day. It has been an invaluable place in my practice, not only for making work but also for meeting and connecting with many different artists. I feel a deep sense of regret and sadness about its temporary closure this year, but above all I am grateful to the staff who have provided such a comfortable working environment and so much support. Thank you very much.
